Identity shapes individuals and objects. Objects can share a certain feeling, shared nostalgia, memory, or connection. When language fails to define this, it can be expressed through form and interaction, through individual and collective experiences.
My work focuses on the identity and representation of Polish cultural values, social actions, and customs. By exploring these themes through physical forms, a cultural design style can be defined. A piece that facilitates interaction through objects, focusing on behavior and culture, creating a physical expression of understanding the Polish experience and needs today. Serving as a representation of experience and a definition of culture through objects.
My thesis presents a seating set intended for daily use and interaction, informed by everyday behaviors and unspoken societal rules. Situated in a contemporary context, my work aims to be both functional and culturally expressive, embodying and communicating identity through use and experience.
