Misinformed
A game designed for players to reflect on their online media consumption through the spread of misinformation.

Short-form content is easy to consume and leads to the spread of shallow, misleading information that people do not question before accepting as fact. Therefore, biased information can spread quickly through everyday conversations.

In Misinformed, players model these real-world behaviors by intentionally skewing others’ understanding of their topic knowledge, while also identifying who may be misleading the group. This game mechanism highlights how easily misinformation can be supported or challenged based on individual media consumption habits. Through gameplay, players begin to recognize how influential false narratives can be, encouraging reflection on their own media consumption and fact-checking practices.
