Hyperfixations & Special Interest
My thesis goes through a close analysis of both hyperfixations and special interests. As someone on the spectrum who has both autism and ADHD, who also has their own fair share of interests and hyperfixations, I thought this would be good for me to talk about as my thesis for my time as a graphic designer here. I want to go through how these two differ despite their shared elements, how creative work can be produced with having them, and how they can be maintained if they interfere with daily life.
The main focus of the information I have been researching is a video essay with simple motion graphics. The video is segmented into different sections of each topic about hyperfixations and special interests, including the pros and cons of them, and how they should be maintained. A quick comic summary of the video is also included, covering the same topics in the same order.
