Embodied Gender
Gender binary norms influence how bodies are (de)valued in our society and impact how individual bodies are treated. Through lengthy research, carefully crafted interviews, publication design, and experimental bookmaking and binding, the intent was to discover and feature the variety of gender experiences in correlation to the body. Another objective was to foster the readers’ understanding of how different individuals feel and interpret gender within the context of American gender binary norms.
