This project explores how alternative visual formats can be used to document and showcase underground creative practices in Chicago. I’m creating a layered archive that highlights both the individual and the environments that shape their work.The video component, displayed through VHS, introduces an intentional sense of nostalgia and materiality, creating a contrast between past and present modes of documentation. The INDIGO, aims to reinforce the importance of place and local identity within their practice.
