Spaces Speak

In this site-specific typography project, students review provided texts about space and select a phrase or sentence that resonates with them. Next, students survey the public spaces outside of the classroom to find fitting places in which to apply their text. These bits and pieces of poetic prose act as an intervention that situates intriguing language among the typical rectilinear signs that instruct, warn or announce.
